Good afternoon all, Visual Collective is coming to you from Coolangatta.
My apologies on the long hiatus, I had a break over the Christmas period and got busy soon after. But I'm back and here to bring you a recap of the last incredible swell to hit the Gold Coast.
Tropical cyclone Gita, started to build Friday, Saturday last week and by Sunday morning it was producing perfect long range swell in the 4-6 ft mark. By Sunday afternoon and Monday morning it was peaking at 6-8ft sets, with Kirra coming to life with some long drainers, reminding us that's Kirra's still here.
The swell is predicted to increase slightly tomorrow into the 3-4ft range with favorable winds, so well worth the early paddle on the points.
Please enjoy the below photos taken on Sunday and Monday at Coolangatta.
Have a great day all.
